Who We Are

UCC is a comprehensive, social service agency serving Hispanics and residents of Milwaukee's near south side. Programs and services include:

  • Bruce Guadalupe Community School--a UW-Milwaukee charter school for children in K-3 through 5th grade.
  • Senior Center--provides a gathering place for 100 elderly people on a daily basis.
  • Adult Day Care--serves a more frail population of seniors and provides meals, health care, social activities, and personal care services.

*Due to protocols in place to keep our staff/volunteers/clients safe during the COVID-19 outbreak, most of our programs are currently shut down so we will not be placing volunteers until further notice.*

What We Do

The United Community Center's (UCC) mission is to provide programs to Hispanics and near south side residents, of all ages, in the areas of education, cultural arts, recreation, community development and health and human services. The UCC assists individuals to achieve their potential by focusing on cultural heritage as a means of strengthening personal development and by promoting high academic standards in all of its educational programs.
