The Inner Beauty Center

Who We Are

Inner Beauty Center started on the corner of 15th and Lincoln in a church known then as Blessed Hope. The founder’s husband was the pastor and those who attended were affected by addiction, abuse, and poverty. In 2011 a woman came into the church and stated: “God told me if I came in here you would help me!” We responded by helping her but also learned there was so much we needed to do. God had put a "mission field" on our front steps. In 2012 a group of passionate women gathered and founded Inner Beauty Center. September of 2012 we opened the doors by offering a Self Defense Class followed by a weekly drop in on Tuesday evening and Street Outreach on Friday night offer resources and an invite to the drop in.

What We Do

Inner Beauty Center located in Milwaukee's Southside neighborhood is on need of women to volunteer during our Tuesday and Thursday evening drop in at the Center. Volunteers help client advocates serve a hot meal, distribute personal hygiene and clothing items to the women experiencing sex trafficking, homelessness and addiction who utilize our Center.
