Volunteer Wisconsin, a new state initiative launched in September 2011, is holding meetings across the state.

The meetings will provide an overview of Volunteer Wisconsin's initial goals including the launch of a state volunteer portal, volunteer data collection, days of service, and volunteer management training. The meeting will also provide an opportunity for community members to provide input on the development of the initiative moving forward. Discussion will be focused on the needs and strengths of the community as it relates to volunteering

Meetings are being scheduled in coordination with existing nonprofit or volunteer coordinator meetings. Volunteer Wisconsin is scheduled for the following meetings:

Superior, October 27 via video conference 
Spooner, November 9 
Eau Claire, Dec. 14 
Sheboygan, Dec. 16
Merrill & Rhinelander, Jan. 9 
LaCrosse, Jan 11
